Exclusive Milford Sound: Luxury Coach & Fiord Cruise

We headed off to Milford Sound on a full day tour, and wow, what a day it was!! Greg our bus driver was unbelievable, extremely knowledgeable and very funny! He made the trip even easier. We had ample time to stop and take photos along the way, with toilet breaks adequately spaced out! The boat ride for Milford Sound was also outstanding, the staff were extremely friendly and so helpful! Would 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking for a full day adventure! And I don’t know how you can, but ask to go with Greg, he’s the best!!

The Sound itself and the tour were great. The costing of the tour was not. I booked in Australian dollars and got charged the same numerical amount in US dollars. I cancelled twice, having opted for one in euros apparently as well and thought it had come through in Australian dollars, but the final invoice said US$. I'm not happy that at that exchange rate, the tour cost me the price of another person! Will not be using TripAdvisor again because of this.

Long bus ride from Queenstown, but wonderful commentary by driver. Lovely stops en route to view some of the remarkable vistas along the way. Boat ride was amazing. We included the buffet lunch in our ticket, which was decent with lots of options. We were offered the opportunity to fly back to Queenstown. We took it and it was one of the best “last-minute” decisions we have ever made! Great staff! Great overall experience! Highly recommend!

Long bus journey, but the driver/guide was very informative and entertaining. The views from the boat were amazing. Enjoyed the "glacial facial." Will remember the trip for years to come.

Do not book through Viator. I was charged $100 more than the other people on the tour bus. Great experience overall, I just feel a little ripped off considering all people shared the exact same experience.

This was an ok experience. The bus ride was very long and frequent stops made the journey feel longer. There was nothing “luxury” about the experience. We were on the same bus and cruise as everyone else but we just paid more money. Not worth it. Better off with another lower cost option for Milford Sound.

Enjoyed all the stops. Our guide Paul was very friendly and his commentaries just made the trip more enjoyable.

Overall it was an average tour. The scenic views of course are exceptional, from the bus tour stops and Milford Sound itself - really great views and luckily we had a lovely weather. But the food, it was nowhere near average. It was bland and some meat were tough to chew especially the pork. The potatoes wern't even easy to swallow. The beef wasn't that tender and lacked flavor. The fried chicken was mediocre. The only saving grace was the vinaigrette dressing for the salad. Scenic views -- Excellent! Food -- Poor! Boat crew -- good service. The glass roof of the bus wasn't even cleaned. But Sonia, the coach driver was really entertaining/amusing! If it wasn't for her, i would rate it below average. Overall rating -- Average.

we did our tour Friday 11th August , our driver was very informative - Excellent Customer Service Fantastic driver, the way he turned the bus around the mountains, felt ever so safe. The overall experience was brilliant, Buffett on the boat was value for money .. would highly recommend 10/10 -

The bus driver was very disappointing. On a 10 hour bus trip we expected some really good commentary but the odd thing she told us, she was not really sure about or enthusiastic. She also coughed incessantly. Hopefully she didn’t have Covid or everybody is going to get it.
